Surgical Procedure
Your breast implants with lift plastic surgery procedure may be performed using general anesthesia. After you have been placed under anesthesia, your surgeon will create the incisions as per the customized surgical plan prepared in advanced.
The incision may be placed around the outer edge of the areola and another vertical incision going down to the inframammary fold. If the breast skin is sagging too much, your surgeon may decide to extend the incision horizontally alone the breast crease. Through the incisions, the surgeon will excise loose breast skin and lift the tissue to a raised position on your chest wall.
The areolas may also be resized and repositioned using the same incision. The breast implant will be placed below the pectoral muscle and adjusted into position. Once both procedures are completed and the optimal breast symmetry and shape is achieved, the surgeon will pull the breast skin taut and reattach it using dissolvable or removable sutures.
The breasts will be wrapped in bandages, and you will be awakened from anesthesia. The entire procedure may take about two to three hours.
Results and Recovery
In the first few days, the swelling and bruising will be conspicuous, and you may not be able to notice the full results of your breast lift with augmentation surgery.
But as these conditions resolve from the second week, the results will start becoming noticeable. You will be required to wear a surgical bra for the first several weeks to provide extra support to the breast tissue and allow it to firm up into its new shape.
You can probably return to your workplace or resume your daily activities in a normal way in about 10 to 14 days after your surgery. However, you should continue to avoid vigorous exercises for at least one month or until your surgeon permits you.
